  • Darrel Collier, Managing Director of International Market Solutions, spoke at the 7th China International Polyester & Intermediates Forum in Shanghai, China on November 3-5, 2010.  The Conference was jointly hosted by China Chemical & Fiber Economic Information Network (CCFEI) and Tecnon Orbichem of London.  The Conference presented papers on the Supply/Demand Imbalances of Upstream Markets, Challenges for the Chinese PET Packaging Resin Business and the Crossroads of China's Synthetic Fiber and Textile Industries among others.

  • On October 19 and 20, Darrel Collier, Managing Director of International Market Solutions, attended the annual Board Meeting of the American Fiber Manufacturers Association in Washington DC. Over 30 leaders of the synthetic fiber industry in the United States were in attendance to discuss such topics as the Korean Free Trade Agreement, the European Fiber Business and the Sustainability of  the US Textile Sector.

  • The North Carolina Department of Commerce along with International Market Solutions sponsored the Military/Government Textiles Conference on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the Koury Convention Center at the Sheraton Four Seasons Hotel in Greensboro, North Carolina. This all day event was followed by a networking reception to allow attendees to interface with Convention speakers, presenters and company representatives.

  • International Market Solutions (IMS) in conjunction with the North Carolina Department of Commerce held a one-day conference in Greensboro, NC on Tuesday, November 10th. The Conference was held at the Sheraton Four Seasons Hotel right off Interstate 40 in Greensboro. A slate of high level speakers from industry, State and Federal Government, military and Academia addressed the very important markets for military and performance textile and apparel products.

  • Stephen Metzger, IMS Managing Director, was panel chair on the subject of entrepreneurship in the small, task-oriented vehicle (STOV) industry at the Industrial Utility Vehicle Technology Conference, October 6-9 in Louisville, KY. The IUV Technology Conference seminars (Oct. 7, 8) featured presentations on the latest technological advances in the area of industrial and utility vehicles, both in end products and critical components. This year the IUV Technololgy Conference was held in conjunction with the International Construction and Utility Equipment Expo (ICUEE).   • Techtextil Frankfurt was be held June 16-18, 2009. Techtextil is the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens.   • Darrel Collier, Managing Direct for International Market Solutions, attended the International Petrochemical Conference for the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association in San Antonio, March 29-31. The Conference is the world's largest and most prestigious conference representing the petrochemical industry. The meeting consisted of a variety of sessions covering key political, economic, and environmental issues affecting the global petrochemical industry

  • Filtration 2008 was held December 9-11, 2008 at the Philadelpha Convention Center in Philadelpha, PA. Hot topics included Energy Reduction Options for Pulse-Cleaned Dust Collectors and REACH: The Challenges of Doing Business in the EU. IMS representatives were in attendance.

  • The Textile Technology Center, in conjunction with Len Furlough, IMS Associate, held a series of seminars designed to assist textile firms improve productivity, quality, and to increase the knowledge and skill base for their associates. Workshops were held throughout the months of September, October, November, and December.

  • Jorman Fields and Darrel Collier, Managing Directors of International Market Solutions, attended the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) Expo in Charlotte, NC from October 21-23, 2008. The Expo is the largest specialty fabrics show in the Americas and was pleased to display the latest product innovations for emerging marketing, the largest concentration of suppliers and more than 8,000 registered participants, outstanding educational opportunities.

  • Darrel Collier, Managing Director of International Market Solutions, attended the Dornbirn Man-Made Fibers Conference in Dornbirn, Austria from September 17-19, 2008. The Conference which had more than 700 synthetic fiber and textile executives from more than 30 countires around the world focused on the topic of Sustainability.

  • Techtextil North America was held April 1-3, 2008 at the Cobb Galleria Center in Atlanta, GA. Techtextil is the world's biggest and most successful International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens.   • Hardy Poole, IMS Associate, presented "Protective Textiles - Opportunity for Imagination" at the Dornbirn Man-Made Fibers Congress (Dornbirn-MFC)in Dornbirn, Austria, September 19-21.   • IMS Managing Director, Stephen Metzger will deliver a presentation on "Global Trends in Small, Task-Oriented Vehicle Markets and Manufacturing" at the Hong Kong International Auto Parts Fair, April 28-May 1. The presentation is scheduled for Sunday, April 29. Mr. Metzger has authored three major studies in the area of small, task-oriented vehicles, with a new study due to be published in September.

  • The National Council of Textile Organizations (NCTO) annual meeting was held in Washington, DC, April 23-25.   • IMS representatives attended the American Fiber Manufacturers Association Spring Board Meeting in Washington D.C. on April 18 and 19. Attending were more than 45 leaders of the synthetic fiber industry in the United States.   • MAGIC was held in Las Vegas, Nevada from February 13-16 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. It is the fashion industry's number one event and more than 115,000 attendees from around the world were in attendence.

  • IMS attended the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL, January 24-27,2007 and covered the show for Industrial Utility Vehicle magazine. IMS's principal focus was on golf cars, utility vehicles, and accessories for these vehicles. Small, task-oriented vehicles, particularly electric-powered units, are an area of IMS expertise.

  • Techtextil North America 2006. This biannual conference was held on March 29-April 1, 2006 in Atlanta. It was generally considered the most successful and most highly attended conference in the series of seminars and exhibits in the history of the program. IMS Directors, Stephen Metzger and Jorman Fields, headed up a panel of industry and U.S. government experts discussing the challenges of effective entry and expansion in the international arena.
